Sangokushi Rumble from Square Enix uses the Romance of the Three Kingdoms epic as source material, but takes some liberties with the warlords. Some of the generals that are male in the story are female Sangokushi Rumble. Bizarre history rewriting aside, Sangokushi Rumble looks like it has a neat battle system.
Anyone remember Dragon Force? Sangokushi Rumble has players send out soldiers that run towards the enemy army and clash with any units they come into contact with. Combat is all real time and you can tap on warlords to use special moves. The game has boss battles where you will run into other notable warlords and event scenes that explain the story.
Sangokushi Rumble is available now as a free download and if you clear the tutorial mode during the launch period you’ll get a rare Cao Cao card for free.
