Square-Enix’s UK Final Fantasy XII launch party

In North America, New York declared October 11, 2006 Final Fantasy XII day. For one day, other than Halloween, it was deemed socially acceptable to wear your moogle costume on the subway. The UK isn’t going to miss out on festivities either. On February 23, 2007 Square-Enix Europe is throwing a launch party at the HMV on 150 Oxford Street in London. At the party Akitoshi Kawazu (the executive producer of FFXII and the creator of the Saga/Final Fantasy Legend series) and Hiroshi Minagawa (co director of FFXII and art director of Final Fantasy Tactics) will be around to sign copies of the game. The first hundred people to buy the game will get a special moogle plus and a soundtrack with five songs. The next hundred people only get the soundtrack. There’s also a cosplay competition where you can net other free unmentioned swag. While it might not be as big in scale as New York’s launch party, the creators weren’t around to sign games. If you’re in the UK and going let us know, we want to see what this special moogle is all about.
