Never thought I would write that headline, but here we are looking at a Taiwanese developed arcade game called Star Ball. The game is like Konami’s Gashaaaan, which has players lob ball pit balls at a screen. It’s a shooting gallery of sorts, but with plastic balls instead of a light gun.

Star Ball has players select scenarios like hitting mosquitos so they don’t bite sleeping people, whacking escaping prisoners, and a snowball fight with parka wearing kids and polar bears. There is also a couples level where you try to “protect” a romantic pair from flirtatious hearts. Hit enough targets as a team (you can play Star Ball solo, but it probably won’t be as much fun) and you can select another stage. Let’s take a look.

Later, when I played Star Ball I found another scenario, a stage that has players punish subway streakers with a barrage of balls. I couldn’t believe the developers made such a wacky level so I filmed it while playing so you guys can check it out.
