Nintendo and Illumination shared a new The Super Mario Galaxy Movie announcement and film poster that revealed Fox McCloud from Star Fox will appear. It is unknown if he will be the only cameo character from that series to show up. We also don’t know who his voice actor will be yet. This follows a previous social media teaser that suggested Pikmin will show up as well.
The Fox McCloud The Super Mario Galaxy Movie poster shows him in front of what appears to be the Arwing from Star Fox. He is wearing his standard pilot uniform from those games. There’s also an Ukiki, a monkey-like character from the Super Mario and Yoshi’s Island series standing alongside him. No sign of any other characters, like Falco Lombardi, Peppy Hare, or Slippy Toad, appears.
Here’s how that looks:

And in case you missed the Pikmin confirmation, that happened earlier in March 2026.
Both reveals followed confirmation that Super Mario Bros 2 characters Birdo and Wart would return for this film.
These sorts of cameos aren’t too uncommon for these films. Some of the major characters in the original The Super Mario Movie ended up being Donkey Kong series staples like DK, Diddy Kong, and Cranky Kong.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will appear in theaters on April 1, 2026. The last mainline game in the Star Fox series was Star Fox Zero for the Wii U, which also included the game Star Fox Guard.
