Star Ocean: Anamnesis’ JP Twitter account revealed today that the game is getting a collab with Sega’s Sakura Wars series, with the event beginning on January 17, 2019 after regular maintenance. The first character to be revealed for the event is Sakura Shinguji, the main female protagonist in most the series’ titles. She attacks with her dual-wielded swords, and her steam mech makes an appearance in her Rush Combo:

Other characters are set to be revealed in the days leading up to the event. Star Ocean: Anamnesis is available for Android and Apple iOS devices. Currently, the event has only been announced for the Japanese version.
