Star Ocean: Anamnesis to End Service in Late June

Star Ocean: Anamnesis will be ending service for its Japanese client in late June. However, an offline mode will be available for players. This will allow players to access Episode 1 to Episode 3. Additionally, players will have access to view the models of characters they have obtained. Access to the Premium Shop and the purchasing of in-game currency has been suspended. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

In August 2019, it was announced that the global server for Star Ocean: Anamnesis would shut down. Service for the global server officially ended in November 2019. However, an offline mode was not available for global users. The Japanese client will officially shut down on June 24, 2021 after roughly four and a half years of service.

Star Ocean: Anamnesis was an entirely new mobile entry in the Star Ocean series. Players were able to obtain various characters from the series, including characters from Star Ocean: The Second Story and Star Ocean: Til the End of Time. The title originally launched to Japanese audiences in 2016, with the global release arriving in 2018.

The story spanned a total of three episodes, which featured a unique storyline for players to enjoy. As mentioned previously, an offline mode will be available to those who played the Japanese client. More information about the offline more will be provided at a later date.

Star Ocean: Anamnesis is immediately available for Android and iOS devices, however service will end on June 24, 2021.
