We won’t see a Switch 2 version of Starbites alongside the other planned releases, as there’s a last second delay for the RPG on that console. Both Ikinagames and NIS America didn’t explain why it won’t appear as planned. They did confirm that the Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC versions will launch as planned on May 21, 2026.

This is the second piece of news regarding a delay of the game in May 2026. Earlier in the month, a newsletter went out initially suggesting a PC Starbites demo would launch on Steam on May 7, 2026, and a trailer for it even appeared briefly on the YouTube account. However, as RPG Site reported, a follow-up email said that had been delayed. As of time of writing, the demo trailer was made private on YouTube.

In the RPG, players will follow Lukida and her friends Badger and Gwen-dol as they deal with generational style debts they’ve inherited and attempt to get off the devastated planet named Bitter. It features turn-based battles and mechas players can customize.

Starbites will come to the Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on May 21, 2026, and the Switch 2 version currently has no release date following the sudden delay.
