Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone has issued another update regarding the state of Stardew Valley’s upcoming multiplayer and single player content. Barone confirmed that there will be both LAN and online multiplayer options.

A Stardew Valley multiplayer screenshot where a group of four people were playing together was shared. Two buildings are shown at the top that appear to be homes for multiplayer farmers, and there is a chat window at the bottom of the screen. In addition. There is also a flamingo scarecrow in the field that appears to be new.

Barone noted that the new content, which will be include a new winter town event, more NPC events and outdoor items, is all completed in a subsequent tweet. Getting multiplayer ready is the current focus.

Stardew Valley is available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It is in development for the PlayStation Vita, though that version will not receive the multiplayer update that also adds new content.
