Starfield ‘Into the Unknown’ Guide

Once you beat the prologue mission and complete the second Constellation quest, “The Old Neighborhood,” you’ll unlock three new story quests to do. One of these Starfield quests, “Into the Unknown,” is by far the most annoying and longest of the bunch. Here’s what you need to do to complete it.

How to Complete Into the Unknown in Starfield

The Starfield quest “Into the Unknown” begins with you visiting The Eye for the first time. This is a space station that orbits New Atlantis and its planet Jemison, ran by the Constellation member Vladimir. Visit him aboard the station and he will tell you about two planets that have more artifacts for you to gather.

Note that these two planets are completely randomized among the 1,000 planets you can explore in this game. It’s unlikely that you and I have the same planets for this part. That said, some parts are similar, such as the artifacts being hidden under mines, in facilities, or at the back of caves on these planets.

Do either planet in whichever order you want. It seems that on the second planet, you’ll meet Andreja, which will allow you to recruit her to your party. After gathering the second artifact, return to the Lodge and place them there.

From this point, Vladimir will let you know about an anomaly on Procyon III. Head to this planet and equip your scanner. Look around you for the white circle on your scanner to distort. Follow the direction of that distortion to reach Temple Eta.

Head inside Temple Eta and you’ll be greeted by anti-gravity puzzle. Crystal lights will appear around some rotating rings in the room. Float your way to each crystal to make them disappear and gather in a new spot. After repeating this anywhere from 5-10 times, the rings will stop rotating and you can enter them to learn your first Starborn power, Anti-Gravity Field.

Return to the Constellation Lodge on New Atlantis to show the group members this new power to complete the Into the Unknown quest.

Starfield is available for the Xbox Series X and PC.
