It’s summer time. Time for a long vacation. Time for a vacation with dolphins according to Starfish who is releasing Long Vacation: Iruka to Watashi (Long Vacation: Dolphin and Me) on August 7. The official teaser page doesn’t tell much about the game, but after glancing at Famitsu I have a better idea about what Long Vacation: Iruka to Watashi is about.

You don’t control a time traveling dolphin on a quest to save the world. Long Vacation: Iruka to Watashi is essentially a pet simulator with dolphins. You play with them, explore the depths of the ocean and play mini games with the marine mammals. Interestingly, this isn’t the first virtual dolphin game from Starfish. Last August the publisher released I Love Dolphin for the Nintendo DS. I suppose it must have sold decently and Long Vacation: Iruka to Watashi is the unofficial sequel.
