When a vortex opens up in the middle of the city, Soa, Blue, Eco, and Joshua head there to see what’s happened. Depending on which of these characters the player chooses for this journey, they’ll get a different angle on the storyline on top of their unique shot types and enemy-shredding abilities.

Players should expect to fight a bizarre array of bosses and enemies as they seek their answers. They can expect to fight cute, Death-like creatures before glowing Christmas trees, tangle with dancing penguins before a waning sun, and weave through bullets in a cosmic light show cast over a singing idol. Starry Nights: Helix makes no attempt to take itself seriously.
