When Home was announced over a year ago, Sony showed clip with a trophy room. A place where players get to display their achievements in a virtual museum for the world to see. When firmware 2.40 comes out "trophies" will finally come to the PlayStation 3. The other major feature is the familiar XMB menu will be an in games. Both of these additions are coming soon, but after the launch of PlayStation 3 firmware 2.36.

How soon? Probably before PixelJunk Eden, the first game to publically announce integrated trophies, launches. PixelJunk Eden comes out sometime this summer. It’s going to be interesting to see if Sony retroactively adds trophies to previous games, similar to rumble support, and if multiplatform third parties implement the same achievements found in their Xbox 360 equivalents.
