With the world on the verge of collapse, people are transferring their minds into the virtual land of CITY 5 to escape it. Journalist Richard Nolan looks to do the same thing with his family, but his own transfer goes awry, leaving parts of him stuck in both worlds in adventure game State of Mind.
The game gives players control over multiple characters across both virtual and actual realities as Nolan tries to find his family and repair his fragmented memories. His choices on this journey of self-discovery will affect the game’s narrative, and will have ramifications not just for him, but for all of mankind.
State of Mind uses low poly visuals to create a surreal, futuristic backdrop for its narrative of being trapped between worlds. It is expected to release in Q1 2017.
