Sony announced a PlayStation State of Play Japan showcase will go over new PS5 games, and perhaps even potentially some PS4 ones, on November 11, 2025. It starts at 2pm PT/5pm ET/11pm CET. If someone is actually in Japan, they can watch it starting at 7am JST on November 12, 2025. It will be on both the English and Japanese YouTube channels in the “live” sections tomorrow.
While we know PS5 games will be at State of Play Japan, we aren’t sure if there will be Japanese PS4 or VR games heading worldwide during the presentation Yet. We do know that it will last about 40 minutes, which isn’t unusual for these showcases. Also, while this is going to prioritize titles developed in Japan, there could also be ones from other countries in Asia like China, South Korea, and Indonesia.
Sony also announced the host of this presentation. It is Yuji Kaji, a voice actor known for roles in Final Fantasy, My Hero Academia, Shin Megami Tensei, and Ys. He played Hope Estheim in the FFXIII trilogy, which is also experiencing a crossover in FFVII Ever Crisis right now. He’s Adol Christin in most of the recent Ys games. He plays Shoto Todoroki in My Hero Academia, and there’s a new game called My Hero Academia: All’s Justice coming out in early 2026. Finally, one of his most recent SMT appearances was in SMT IV: Apocalypse as Flynn.
The State of Play Japan will take place at 2pm PT/5pm ET/11pm CET on November 11, 2025.
