Quinn is trapped in a dark room with a computer, and their connection with the player may be the only thing that keeps them sane in adventure game Stay.

Stay follows Quinn’s journey being trapped inside this strange facility, with players able to send instructions and suggestions through a text program. Through these messages, players can build up a bond with Quinn that will allow them to suggest plans of action for him to escape, which he may or may not follow based on how close they have become.

Stay plays out in real time, though, so the amount of time players are with him or leaving Quinn alone factors into their friendship and Quinn’s mental state. Should players take too much time away from the game, they may return to find Quinn’s sanity falling apart. If they keep coming back, they will slowly guide him through twenty-four chapters filled with secret rooms, hidden items, and an unfolding narrative that explains Quinn’s reasons for being trapped.

Stay is projected to release in Spring 2018.
