Today, Perfect World announced that Steam China, which was announced mid-2018, will be officially called Steam Platform, and will have a completely separate library from the global version. [Thanks, Bahamut!]

While they did not reveal a specific date for the platform’s launch, they revealed that the service was stable and ready to launch in the near future. The platform will launch with forty games, such as Dota 2, and more, and while the library of games is separate, Steam Platform will keep all the features of the global version, including the browser, store, reviews, wishlists, community features, and more. Games such as Romance of Three Kingdoms XIV were also playable at the demo event.

Steam Platform will launch in China in the near future.
