Following the reveal of the Valve Steam Machine PC models, Dbrand revealed a Companion Cube case and controller cover based on the Portal item. People can get the polycarbonate and polyurethane cover alone for $99.95 or with the controller skin, suede cleaning cloth, and Super Button stand for $129.95. The bundle ships in September 2026, while the single cover ships in October 2026.

The Steam Machine PC is a six inch system, and the Portal Companion Cube cover is 186.6mm around (about 7.3 inches) to provide clearance around it. It is possible to add reversible rubber feet to allow more airflow and height in addition to the built-in vents. The front panel can be removed, and there is a hidden front I/O port spot and LED pass-through. The rear I/O ports and vent are open.

The “Poverty Cube” option doesn’t include a special box or extras. Only the more expensive one does. That also has the pink suede cloth for wiping off the PC and a Super Button display stand. The decorative Steam Controller skin in the premium bundle also features references to Portal on the touchpads.

Here’s how the Companion Cube accessory, its Super Button stand, and the controller skin will look.

The first Steam Machine PC models will begin shipping in June 2026, and the Dbrand Portal style Companion Cube cover will begin shipping out in September 2026.
