Steampunk Shooter Steel Empire Lands On 3DS In March

Steel Empire was made before steampunk was cool. While this is a 3DS game, it’s actually over 20 years old. Players control a plane that can fire forwards and backwards. You’ll shoot down flying fortresses and giant battleships. You won’t see any of that in this trailer though.

 

Hot B developed Steel Empire for the Genesis. Starfish, a company run by former Hot B staff, is publishing the 3DS remake. Mebuis, a company that helped Nippon Ichi develop Battle Princess of Arcadia, is in charge of the 3DS version. Steel Empire is slated for release at the end of March as a 2,940 yen eShop download.
