Image & Form’s latest entry in the SteamWorld series has been revealed. It’s SteamWorld Dig 2. The Metroidvania game will be appearing first on the Nintendo Switch in Summer 2017.

SteamWorld Dig 2 will star an entirely new heroine named Dorothy. She may look familiar, as she originally appeared in the first SteamWorld Dig as the shop owner of Tumbleton’s Ores and Gems. She’s searching for an unnamed, missing friend, which will send her into the depths of a mine. She won’t be alone, though, as some sort of unlikely companion will be joining her on her journey. It will make use of the Nintendo Switch’s HD Rumble functionality.

The Nintendo Switch will launch on March 3, 2017. A SteamWorld Dig 2 demo will be playable at GDC 2017 and PAX East 2017.
