Stella Deus: The Gate of Eternity was one of Atlus’ pre-Persona 3 titles so it didn’t get as much attention even though it had a solid team behind it. Shigenori Soejima, best known for the Persona series, created the game’s artwork, the developers worked on the PsOne RPG Hoshigami, and Record of Lodoss War creator wrote the game’s story.
Stella Deus is set in Solumn, a land on the verge of destruction from a poisonous mist called the Miasma. and leaders had different ideas on how to handle the end of the world. The Aeque Church that believes mankind should accept their gradual destruction. An alchemist wants to build inventions that are powered by spirits in hope of stopping the Miasma and a warlord named Dingus that believes in might makes right arrives at the heroes village.
Originally released for PS2, Stella Deus: The Gate of Eternity will be re-released a PS2 Classic for PS3 this week.
