Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS releases this December but according to a new image of the game’s box art from GameStop, the game “plays only in 2D,” meaning fans of stereoscopic 3D options are out of luck.

While the game won’t be available to play in 3D, that means it’ll also be available to play on the Nintendo 2DS, which doesn’t support the 3D option we have in the regular 3DS consoles.

As previously reported, the 3DS version of Super Mario Maker will allow players to team up and collaborate on level designs. While you won’t get to share courses online as with the Wii U version of the game, it’ll include 100 Nintendo-designed courses with a variety of new challenges.

Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS releases in Japan on December 1 and the rest of the world on December 2, 2016.
