Sting’s mystery game is Knights in the Nightmare

Remember how Sting posted a teaser about a new game a few weeks ago? The project is Knights in the Nightmare and it has ties to the Dept. Heaven universe as Episode IV. Yggdra Union was Episode II and Rivera was Episode I, so that means Episode III is… missing?

Nomenclature aside, Knights in the Nightmare goes in a new direction for Sting, it’s a fusion of a real time strategy and a strategy RPG. At the beginning of battle players place their fighters on a grid. Once set, combat occurs in real time until the time runs out and a new set of tactics can be set. Knights in the Nightmare is scheduled to come out for the Nintendo DS sometime this year in Japan. No corresponding US release date has been announced, but considering Atlus’ relationship with Sting there is definitely a chance Knights in the Nightmare will get an international release.
