Stranger of Paradise Different Future New Classes, Emperor Revealed

Leading up to the release of the Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Different Future DLC, Square Enix shared new information about the final DLC. This includes confirmation that the Emperor from Final Fantasy II will make an appearance as its final boss. Additionally, a total of three different new Job Classes will be available for players in the Different Future DLC for Stranger of Paradise. These include the Gambler, Marksman, and Hunter. Alongside the Emperor, Different Future will introduce the formidable Omega weapon as one of the bosses players can tackle in the DLC. However, outside of the new Job Classes and boss fights, Stranger of Paradise will also receive several quality of life updates once Distant Future releases in late January 2023. This includes the option to now use Manikin materials as fusion and enhancement fodder and the ability to replicate equipment (also using Manikin and crafting materials).

Square Enix also shared a trailer, which provides a glimpse into how the new Job Classes will function, and teases the encounter against the Emperor and Omega weapon. You can watch it below.

The final DLC for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, Distant Future will be wrapping up the story of Jack Garland. Previous DLC content included the addition of Gilgamesh and Bahamut as new encounters for players to test their mettle against.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. The Different Future DLC will release on January 27, 2023.
