Capcom has revealed that Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is getting two rather major updates on December 11, 2018. The first is the inclusion of Sponsored Content, which basically brings ads into the game reminding you about the Capcom Pro Tour and DLC. The second is a temporary free trial that will run from December 11-18, 2018.
The Street Fighter V Sponsored Content will be optional and will make some tournament stages have Stage Ads, some loading Versus screens have ads, and give each character an Ad Style costume. People will be able to opt out by heading into Battle Settings to where they can turn sponsored content like Ad Style Costumes on or off, turn Loading & Stage Ads on or off, and just enable or disable sponsored content in general. If people do agree to have Sponsored Content on, then all Casual and Ranked matches will give them bonus Fight Money.
The free Street Fighter V trial will be for PlayStation 4 and PC owners. (PlayStation 4 owners need PlaStation Plus to play online.) It lets you use all 16 base characters in every mode available in the full game. It also lets you use the Akuma, Guile, and Sagat DLC characters in the Battle Lounge, Casual, Challenges, Ranked, Training, and Versus areas.
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is available for the PlayStation 4 and PC.
