Based on the Streets of Rage 4 trophy list, it seems Streets of Rage 2’s Max will be again making a cameo in the game. This time, it seems like he’ll only be a boss. The trophy associated with him is a silver one called “Snap Out of It.” Its description specifically states, “Beat possessed Max.” However, this reduced role wouldn’t be unusual for him, as Max was only playable in the second game and only briefly appeared in Streets of Rage 3 as an unplayable character.

Here is the full Streets of Rage 4 trophy list. It also reveals “retro levels” will appear in the game.
