Suika Game is Now Available in Global eShop

The viral Nintendo Switch exclusive, Suika Game, is now available in the North American storefront. Previously, it was only available in the Japanese eShop, requiring those without a Japanese credit card to purchase a gift card from the region.

The puzzle title costs $2.99 to download and is still a Nintendo Switch exclusive. While Suika Game is neither the original version of the drop-things-to-combine-them game genre nor the first to feature fruits, it went viral thanks to YouTubers and VTubers streaming it.

The difficulty of the game lies in the floaty physics of the fruits. Not only can the fruits pop out of the box thanks to the force of them merging together, but they can also trickle down in between cracks. These fruits can then act as obstacles, preventing you from merging fruits in the future.

As a note, just because the game is available in the North American storefront doesn’t mean it’s in English. It’s still only available in Japanese. However, the rules of the game are easy to follow. The most amount of text is only in the tutorial. It’s possible to play it without any knowledge of Japanese.

Suika Game is now available on the Nintendo Switch.
