There are certain limitations with this new event. When someone heads into the Halloween Battle, only courses 1-2, 3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 4-2, 6-1, 6-2, and 6-3 will appear. All of these are either underground or night levels, if you check the announcement tweet.

The other element of the event gives people a head start. Each person will kick off the event with 100 coins that you can spend on power-ups for Mario. Think of it as a Halloween treat that might make it easier to survive the Special Battle and trick your 34 potential opponents.

This is the first holiday-specific event for Super Mario Bros 35. However, there have been other updates and discoveries since its launch. For example, people recently learned Luigi is a playable character.

Super Mario Bros 35 is available for the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo Switch Online subscribers will be able to play until March 31, 2021. The Super Mario Bros 35 Halloween event will be held between October 30, 2020 and November 2, 2020.
