Super Mario Hot Wheels Appearing Soon On Store Shelves

Nintendo reminded people on Facebook today that the company is engaged in a collaboration project with Mattel to release a line of Super Mario Hot Wheels. A series of six cars will be released, each with a different paint job representing a game in the series, in honor of 2015 being the 30th anniversary of the Super Mario series.

Of the six Super Mario Hot Wheels, the Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, and Super Mario World cars have a 30th Anniversary logo in the upper right corner of their packaging. The other two, based on Doctor Mario and Mario Kart, have the Nintendo Seal of Quality instead. Each car has Mario painted on it, and they will be sold separately.

Nintendo didn’t provide an exact release date for the Super Mario Hot Wheels, only saying the toys will appear in stores sometime this month. Prices were also not revealed, but single Hot Wheel cars start at $2.99 each
