Super Mario Maker Patch Doesn’t Make Players Wait For New Content

Nintendo decided to try something different when it came to unlocking additional creation content in Super Mario Maker for the Nintendo Wii U. In review copies of the game, it was noted that people would need to play a total of nine days to unlock all level creation content. Deliveries would be arranged after spending five minutes actively creating in the level editor. This requirement has been adjusted.

A Super Mario Maker 1.0.1 launch day patch has been applied to the game. If someone updates to the current version of the software, an additional method of unlocking additional features is available. People can follow the nine day path, or they can place plenty of content in the field.

To earn new shipments with the Super Mario Maker method patched into the game, someone will have to create a level using one each of the most recently added items and as many blocks as possible. (Brick blocks worked for my personal purposes.) After enough were placed, a message appeared stating that a shipment was arriving early. Following this method, it is possible to unlock all content within a single day.

You can determine if your copy of Super Mario Maker has the patch applied by looking at the title screen when the game begins. A 1.0.1 will appear, noting the version of the software.
