Super Meat Boy Forever is still a platformer, like the original game, but it adjusts the formula. Meat Boy and Bandage Girl are constantly moving through procedurally generated stages, fighting and evading Dr. Fetus’ traps and hazards while trying to reach and save their kidnapped child, Nugget. You have to be aware of timing and positioning as you attempt to traverse stages. Also, there are still occasional boss fights.

Here’s the latest Super Meat Boy Forever trailer shared ahead of the PS4 and Xbox One debuts.

As a reminder, back when Super Meat Boy Forever came up, the period of console exclusivity came up. It showed up in the ‘ target=_blank>Nindies Summer Showcase 2017. That’s when we learned it would appear “first” on the Switch.

The Super Meat Boy Forever PS4 and Xbox One versions will launch on April 16, 2021. It is available on the Nintendo Switch and PC via Epic Games Store now.
