Super Red-Hot Hero couldn’t be coming at a better time. That is, just after Mighty No. 9 has seen another delay, this time until later this spring.

If you were looking forward to playing Mighty No. 9 then you’re probably hungry for an action-platformer that takes inspiration from Mega Man then. That’s where Super Red-Hot Hero comes in. While not available to play yet, it should be soon enough, and it’ll be coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It’s currently on Steam Greenlight.

It has you playing as the titular hero who has had his heart replaced by a battery of Red-Hot Energy. The scientist who conducted this experiment wasn’t counting on it giving the hero thermal powers, which he used to escape the laboratory.

Now the Super Red-Hot Hero is out to take down the forces of the Kazan Army that stand in his way. His main trick is being able to create explosions and then hop inside them, moving at the speed of light. It encourages you to cause huge destruction and move as fast as possible through the game’s 30+ stages.

However, you have to be careful not to force the hero to run out of energy, making sure to collect it from around the environments. This ensure that your moves are considered and not spammed.
