Super Robot Wars Y Demo Appears Tomorrow

Bandai Namco revealed that Switch and PS5 players will be able to test out the crossover strategy game Super Robot Wars Y with a demo. It will be available to download on the eShop and PlayStation Store starting on August 8, 2025. This is also a trial in which you get a bonus for playing and can keep using the save file in the full $59.99 game.

This is one of those situations in which the demo is a slice of the beginning of the game. Anyone who grabs it will get to go through Chapter 01. If you do finish that trial, you will get a reward for the full game. However, the announcement didn’t note what we get for testing it out.

Here’s the Super Robot Wars Y demo trailer, which teases some of the anime crossovers and shows some gameplay elements. It also confirmed the anyone who pre-orders gets Area Missions to recruit Cybaster (Super Robot Wars), GranVang (Super Robot Wars V), and VangNex (Super Robot Wars V) and a “Special Starter Pack Bonus Mission.”

Super Robot Wars Y will come to the Switch, PS5, and PC via Steam on August 28, 2025, and the console demo debuts on August 8, 2025.
