Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Details Its Special Weapon, Yuuki, Strea, Llenn, And Pitohui

Bandai Namco shared plenty of new screenshots and details for Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet with info on its protagonist-exclusive unique weapon, Yuuki, Strea, Llenn, and Pitohui.

When the protagonist logs into Gun Gale Online for the first time, it doesn’t take long until he gets lucky and becomes the master of a valuable support AI known as ArFA-sys. The ArFA-sys normally provide masters with weapons that suit them best, but the protagonist ends up getting one that was never used by anyone else.

The UFG, or Ultimate Fiber Gun, is the weapon. The valuable weapon wasn’t supposed to have been implemented into GGO yet. By launching wires, it is able to perform three-dimensional maneuvers. This item brings a drastic change to the way GGO is played, and becomes the center of attention of the entire server.

From there, the protagonist goes from being a complete newbie to a subject of many expectations and envy from others.

The UFG allows you to reach high areas, so that makes it an extremely powerful item in the world of guns, GGO. By quickly getting to higher areas you can put yourself in advantageous positions to shoot enemies from a distance. It can also be used for high-speed travels by shooting a distant target and flying towards it. Using the UFG efficiently will be a big part of your success.

Just like in the anime, GGO is a VRMMO, and a rough world that is recommended for its PvP. This will also carry over into the game, where you’ll go up against other players (Offline NPCs) while playing the game. The enemies will take you on in groups of four or more, and will use various weapons. These players are much stronger than your usual enemies.

Some subjugation quests will have you take on tough enemy “Bounties.” Defeating them will score you plenty of rewards.

In Sowrd Art Online: Fatal Bullet you’ll take control of the protagonist’s avatar character, and together with other partners you’ll make a party of four to explore fields and take on dungeons. You’ll get command your party members and have them perform focus attacks, go on standby, and so on. With a party you should be able to take out Bounties more efficiently.

In addition to Kirito, Asuna, and Sinon, you’ll meet a variety of characters. Here’s a look at some of them:

Yuuki (CV: Aoi Yuuki)

A top swordsman with many victories under her belt in ALO. She’ll fight using blades in the gun-heavy GGO. Her battle style is similar to that of Kirito’s, as she uses a photon sword and pistol.

Strea (CV: Sachika Misawa)

Strea first appeared in Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment, where she meets Kirito on Aincrad’s 76th floor. She’s an AI character and works together with Kirito after getting saved. She’s cheerful, agreeable, and takes actions in a bold manner. In GGO she uses heavy weapons with the rocket launcher and Gatling gun.

As previously reported, Llenn and Pitohui will appear as post-release DLC characters, and for free. Here’s more on the two:

Llenn (CV: Tomori Kusunoki)

Due to her avatar’s small body, she’s often mistaken as a child. She’s colored pink from head to toe, and even her gun, so she stands out quite a bit. It might look like she’s jus wearing a costume she finds cute, but they say that it has the advantage of providing extra camouflage under the red hot sun of GGO. She puts use of her superhuman agility, and together with her favorite gun “P-chan,” she can freely run around the battlefield.

Pitohui (CV: Yoko Hikasa)

A super skilled player who uses the name of a poisonous bird. She’s characterized by her long narrow eyes and tall figure, and the geometric tattoo on her cheeks. She meets Llenn when she just started playing GGO, and taught her about handling a gun and about VRMMOs. She has strong respect for SAO.

Here’s a look at a couple event CGs. One shows the girls going shopping in their bathing suits, and the other shows Leafa caught in a trap.

Kirito and Sinon struggled against the player who goes by Death Gun in the anime, and he’ll be making an appearance in the game. What kind of battle awaits?
