Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet is a new third-person shooter by Freedom Wars developer Dimps, and we got a look at new footage featuring Kirito and Sinon from Gamescom 2017.
Here’s a look at new footage of the game, courtesy DualShockers:
In Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, players won’t be restricted to Kirito and can play as a variety of characters, each with their own main and sub-weapons of choice. In addition to original characters, the game will have an original story that takes place after the events of Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization.
As far as gameplay goes, there’s some variety with the different types of weapons. For example Kirito uses a beam saber for close-ranged combat, but he can also bust out his sub-weapon guns to shoot from a distance.
Sinon uses sniper rifles, so her play style is less in-your-face, as she makes better use of the wire action to shoot from a distance. Since she won’t always be able to attack from far, she can use her secondary weapon, the machine gun, to handle nearby enemies.
In case you missed it, you can read more about the game with comments from the developers, Sword Art Online author Reki Kawahara and series editor Kazuma Miki in our previous report.
Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet releases worldwide in early 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
