In the video, you can see a character with a design like the player’s avatar from Journey. They appear to be traversing through deserts while sandsurfing. From what can be seen in these first segments, it appears that restoring the various temple-like structures will be a main part of the gameplay.

As for the style, it follows something very similar to the artist’s previous games like Abzu, The Pathless, and Journey. Most notably it will also feature surrealist scenery, like sea creatures swimming through the air.

Sword of the Sea will come to PlayStation 5, no release date has been confirmed yet.
