Bandai Namco announced two JRPG ports during the February 2026 Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, with Digimon Story: Time Stranger coming to the Switch and Switch 2 and Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition showing up the Switch 2. Both will appear in the next few months. They’re the two major releases from the company from this latest showcase, and they’ll follow the Tales of Berseria remaster launching in February 2026.

Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition will appear first, even though it only showed up in a compilation trailer and the other game had its dedicated segment during this showcase. It will appear on May 22, 2026. The teaser footage showed both the base game and DLC content.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger will show up on the Switch and Switch 2 on July 10, 2026 and be the third Bandai Namco JRPG we’ll see soon. Both digital and physical copies will appear. If someone gets it on Switch 2, they’ll be able to choose between a Performance Mode (1080p and 60fps) and Quality Mode (4K, 30fps, HDR).
