Bandai Namco announced a new Tales of series remaster during the Japanese June 2026 Nintendo Direct, as Tales of Eternia Remastered is in the works. It will show up on the Switch and Switch 2 on October 15, 2026. The original JRPG first appeared on the PS1.
As with all entries, Tales of Eternia features a party of characters on a quest to save their world. In this case, it involves the planets Inferia and Celestia that seem to be on a collision course. Reid, Farah, Meredy, and Keele must travel to uncover the truth behind what’s happening.

This is one of multiple Tales of JRPG remaster releases since the 30th anniversary of the series. The first was Tales of Graces f Remastered in January 2025. A remaster of Xillia followed that in October 2025. The first 2026 release was Berseria Remasteredin February 2026.
Tales of Eternia Remastered is on the way to the Switch and Switch 2 on October 15, 2026, and the original game is on the PS1 in North America and Japan and the PSP in Australia, Europe, and Japan.
