Tales of Seikyu Kindred Spirits Update Adds Pets, More Romance

ACE Entertainment and Fireshine announced the second Tales of Seikyu early access update, which is called Kindred Spirits, is now live and adds more romance opportunities with love interests and pets. These appear alongside chapter two of the story and the ability to transform our avatars into the Yuki-onna. We’ll be able to go to and do more at the Casino, Lighthouse, and Tavern as well. Everything arrives today.

While advancing the story is a big part of this update, the romance and relationship elements in Tales of Seikyu are being updated across the board. The main love interests so far are Anna, Hephaestus, Kincho, Leon, Liliana, Mika, Miss Ama, Musashi, Nyotengu, Sasaki, Shuten, Torleone, Yoni, and Yui, and each of them gets new heart events after you patch the live sim. (The final two aren’t in the gam eyet.) It will also be able to date these folks at the Casino and Tavern after the update is applied. Dates will offer new interactions with folks and chances to learn something new. ACE did mention it is possible for awkward moments if you set up more than one date for the same time. There will be new heart events for non-romanceable characters like Ivan, Kinntarou, Prince, Seabert, Theo, and Tommy too. Also, more character portraits and animations are in.

As for chapter two, it offers more insights into what happened to the player’s sibling. When you continue the Tales of Seikyu story, the Yuki-onna transformation will become an option. There will be two new bosses to fight as well. The Ruin Dungeons will also offer more spots to visit.

Pets are live after the Tales of Seikyu update too, but you don’t automatically get a new friend for your homestead. Some of the teased options are aardwolves, cats, dogs, and lizards. If you find one while exploring, you can them tame it. You can also give them accessories to wear to change their appearance.

Tales of Seikyu is currently in early access for PCs and the Kindred Spirits update is live, and the 1.0 launch is expected to happen in 2026.
