Tales of Symphonia Remastered Switch Patch Fixes a Progression Bug

There’s another Tales of Symphonia Remastered Switch patch, and this one fixes an issue that’d halt players’ progression. However, the patch notes for it are quite vague. Bandai Namco only announced that on October 19, 2023, 1.31 will go live for the Nintendo console. When it does, it will fix a bug that kept people from advancing.

The thing is, Bandai Namco doesn’t offer any specifics about which progression problem is fixed in the Tales of Symphonia Remastered Switch patch. Following the 1.3 update, some people did end up reporting problems online. For example, the Tales series subreddit featured one person reporting being unable to progress following a story scene at one of the Human Ranches.

Past patches dealt with other problems found in the RPG. While general loading hasn’t been addressed, the one released in May 2023 started to make a dent in technical issues. An August 2023 one helped with things like Colette’s in-battle performance issues. However, even with the previous two patches, some elements like extended loading times remained a problem.

Tales of Symphonia Remastered is available for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Its 1.31 patch will come to the Switch on October 19, 2023.
