Team Ninja, Koei Tecmo, and Square Enix revealed Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin at the end of the E3 2021 Square Enix Presents. The goal is to go with your Warriors of Light to kill Chaos. It will come to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2022. A PS5 Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin demo is “coming soon.”
Here’s the first trailer. In it, we see the Warriors of Light going after Chaos and finding Garland. The description for the official trailer noted that the Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin PS5 demo will be available until June 24, 2021.
As a reminder, Garland was the villain in the original Final Fantasy. However, he once started out as a hero. This is referenced in the voice over for this new game’s trailer. It was only later that the former knight became a villain and took on the power of Chaos to bolster his already immense skills and strength.
Strangers of Light: Final Fantasy Origin will come to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2022, with a PS5 demo confirmed. Square Enix’s reveal included a link to an official website, but it isn’t live as of 4pm ET on June 13, 2021.
