GoldenEye 007 is arguably the best first person shooter on the Nintendo 64 and it’s probably the best game to use the James Bond license. Rare gave up working on the game many years ago, but since GoldenEye 007 is fondly remembered a community picked up the slack. The GoldenEye Vault is home to a few new single player stages. In one you have to save hostages inside the Silo level and in another stage you rescue Samuel Paddington. Some of the multiplayer levels are hilarious too. One map takes elements from Rare’s Super Mario 64 inspired platformer, Banjo Kazooie. Installation is a little tricky, but there is a guide that explains how to use the patch. Granted this stuff is delving into the gray area, but it's neat to look at for fans of the source material.
Ten years later, GoldenEye 007 gains new levels
