Mistwalker’s Terra Wars Shutdown Will Happen On December 24, 2019

Terra Wars’ time is at an end. The Mistwalker strategic-RPG will be shut down on December 24, 2019. As a reminder, the game just launched in Japan on July 1, 2019. This means it will have only been playable for 176 days.

Terra Wars was something of a successor to Terra Battle, Mistwalker’s previous mobile RPG, though it employed a different sort of strategy. The game is being shuttered, as the developer found it would be difficult to make the sorts of improvements and additions that its players would deserve and want.

It will stop selling energy for real money on November 22, 2019. All purchased energy can be used until the game closes, and a refund will be able to be sought for unused Energy. However, Mistwalker will only refund Energy until February 29, 2020. It also noted that people who purchased 15, 30, or 90 day login bonus packs will be compensated with Energy and other items.

Finally, a Thank You Campaign will be held in Terra Wars starting November 23, 2019. It will run until December 24, 2019. During this event, people will get 1,000 Energy every day, which can be put toward its gachas. Its quests’ difficulty levels and rewards will also be adjusted.

Terra Wars is available for Android and Apple iOS devices in Japan until December 24, 2019.
