The Nintendo Switch won’t be the only platform with a battle royale version of Tetris. Tetris Royale is on the way for Android and Apple iOS devices from The Tetris Company and N3twork. It is currently in development, with a beta phase planned for 2019.

Tetris Royale will have 100-person battle royale matches. However, there will also be a single player mode. Daily challenges will appear to earn boosts, power-ups, and customization items. Those boosts and power-ups will be able to be used during the battle mode. A seasonal leaderboard will also be present, according to the press release.

N3twork has only developed two games so far. One is Legendary: Game of Heroes. It is a match-3 puzzle game for Android and Apple iOS devices that involves collecting and evolving monsters, then using them to fight by matching colored gems, as in a game like Puzzle & Dragons or Puzzle Quest. The other is Mafia Watch, a mafia simulation game where you fight against other Apple Watch players.

Tetris Royale is in development for Android and Apple iOS devices, with a beta planned for 2019. Tetris 99 is immediately available for Nintendo Switch owners who subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online.
