Founder of Q Entertainment, and creator of Rez and Lumines, Tetsuya Mizuguchi has revealed that his next game is a “mysterious puzzle game” called 18 for iOS and Android. It will be released worldwide by publisher Mobcast by the end of March (via Serkantoto).
As we previously found out, Mizuguchi ended his hiatus from making games by starting work at new studio Enhance Games in California. 18 will be the studio’s first game this year and according to Mobcast it blends story, puzzle mechanics, and battle RPG elements.
You can get your first look at 18 in the trailer above. Pre-registrations for the game were started in Japan on February 10th through the game’s website.
The second game that Enhance and Mobcast will be launching this year is a designed-for-mobile version of puzzler Lumines, which was previously a PlayStation Vita game. There’s no release date on that one but that will also be released worldwide.
