While trawling the indie booth section of Tokyo Game Show, we ran past 8BitMMO, a retro 2D-pixel MMORPG sandbox world.
The game is free-to-play and has been out for awhile already, though it’s still in development. Players are able to build items and even purchase land plots to make their own towns and dungeons.
Get a big enough patch of land and you can even turn it into cities, becoming mayor of your own town. You can also create quests for others to complete, including fighting off LawyerCats and hipsters.
There are tons of different Minecraft-esque games these days, with some form, it seems, for everyone to take. Have you tried this game?
