That’s Not A New JRPG, It’s The New RPG Maker

While the RPG Maker series is dormant in the West, Enterbrain keeps making new installments for Japan. RPG Maker VX Ace adds elements like party members that follow you, two layer backgrounds, and "TP" as a parameter. That’s in addition to MP, so game creators can whip up two kinds of special attacks.

RPG Maker VX Ace will be available for PC on December 15. RPG Maker DS Plus launches on the same day with school, sci-fi, and sengoku tilesets.
