The US Kura Sushi site teased a The Apothecary Diaries crossover for the restaurant, which means new merchandise based on the light novel, manga, and anime in exchange for purchasing food. There’s no start date for the promotion yet. However, we do know the Persona event there at the moment ends on September 17, 2026, so it is possible the next one’s run starts on September 18, 2026.
The official site is only teasing two characters for the crossover so far. Both the leads Maomao and Jinshi are confirmed. This likely means the exclusive additions to the menu will be tied to both of them. However, the page did mention “others from the imperial palace,” so we could also see folks like Gyokuyo and Lihua on The Apothecary Diaries merchandise given away for eating certain amounts of plates of sushi or making orders exceeding certain totals.
This comes ahead of season three of the anime. That will begin airing on Crunchyroll as part of its Fall 2026 lineup. It will also be part of its New York Comic Con presentations, as it should be part of the 3:30pm ET October 8, 2026 Crunchyroll Showcase and there will be a panel for it at the event at 12:15pm ET on October 9, 2026.
The Apothecary Diaries event will be at US Kura Sushi restaurants later in September 2026. Square Enix handles the light novel and manga in the US, and the anime adaptation streams on Crunchyroll.
