We’ll see Edmund McMillen and Florian Himsl’s The Binding of Isaac return again on the GTA VI release day with a new Repentance + Online Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series X debut.  It will show up on November 19, 2026. This is a version that includes every additional content update for the game and online multiplayer. Digital copies will be available for all consoles, but only a Switch 2 $69.99 physical copy will appear.

The Binding of Isaac first appeared in September 2011 on PCs and got a Wrath of the Lamb expansion. That was followed by the Rebirth port in 2014, an Afterbirth update, and more recently a Repentance release. The tenth anniversary Repentance + update appeared in December 2024 for PCs and marked the debut of online multiplayer. While the base Repentance release did appear on consoles before, this marks the first online multiplayer release for the platforms.

Here’s the first teaser trailer for this latest release of the game.

The preliminary art for the Switch 2 physical copy appeared too. That doesn’t feature the trademark game key card disclaimer, so it looks like we’ll be getting the full game on the cartridge for this release.
