The Cairn is an upcoming game set in a world or skeletons that have long gone insane. You arrive in this twisted world as skeletal child and must attempt to survive as you journey through it.

Most striking about The Cairn is its black-and-white art style, which is directly influenced by 15th century Dutch woodcuts, embedding the game in a medieval look.

At the moment, The Cairn is still in the early stages of development but basic combat with maces and spells is in, as well as different enemy types – at the top you can see the shepherd and its flock that attack in groups (kill the shepherd and the flock become docile).

Recent updates have also seen the creators playing around with darker scenes and newly added shadows that add a lot to the presence characters have in the world. You can keep up with development on The Cairn on its Tumblr, TIGSource, and Twitter pages.
