Sony had an exciting surprise at the official launch party at the Virgin store on Oxford street where gamers who lined up to purchase a PS3 scored a huge bonus, a 46” HD Bravia TV. The freebie (worth more than the Playstation 3!) was given out to make up for the long delay between the US/JPN and EU launches. While the promotion was great for people in Oxford, North of the launch party in Newcastle a Virgin Megastore has sign up informing passer bys that there are plenty of Playstation 3’s left to pre-order.
